Apartments Egger in Madseit is the perfect base for your winter holiday in the Tux Valley. A snow-sure location at altitude, deeply snow-covered landscapes and the Hintertux Glacier right on your doorstep create a true winter wonderland.

You can enjoy skiing & snowboarding in the Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000. The Hintertux Glacier is only around 3 km away, while the Eggalm cable car in Lanersbach can also be reached within just a few minutes. The free sports bus takes you conveniently to the lifts, with the bus stop only around 200 metres from the house. Cross-country skiing starts almost right outside our door. Just across the road, you can join the trail and enjoy 14 km of classic tracks as well as 14 km of skating trails through the Tux Valley. And away from the ski slopes, there is plenty more winter fun to discover: winter hiking and snowshoeing, tobogganing, ice skating and curling all make for varied days in the snow.

Away from the pistes and cross-country trails, Tux and the Zillertal have plenty to offer in winter: attractions, music and culture, traditional festivals, events and exhibitions ensure plenty of variety during your holiday. Or perhaps you would prefer a relaxing walk through the snow-covered landscape?

From the end of September until the beginning of May, guests staying in our apartments can enjoy the wellness and sauna area, indoor pool and fitness room at the Alpenbad Hotel Hohenhaus in Hintertux (2 km away) free of charge.

Yes. The entrance to the cross-country ski trail is located practically opposite Apartments Egger in Madseit. Around 14 km of classic trails and 14 km of skating trails run through the Tux Valley. Perfect if you want to start your cross-country skiing day right on your doorstep.

Even without skis, Tux offers plenty of winter activities. You can go tobogganing, winter hiking, snowshoeing, ice skating or curling, enjoy leisurely walks through the snow-covered landscape or stop off at one of the traditional mountain huts.
